At MPM removals we are aware of increasing global and local environmental issues and as members of the local community share its concerns and endeavour to actively do our part in limiting the effects MPM has on the environment.
Within our environmental policy we take all necessary measures to comply with environmental legislation.
- Identify environmental impacts of the company and implement procedures to minimise the effects.
- We provide information and training to employees to encourage and develop environmental improvements, personally and for the company.
- We promote re-cycling and re-using of our packing materials and offer a free collection service for our customers for used boxes and packing materials.
- We Discourage customer’s disposal of unwanted and excess household/commercial furniture and household effects by offering to recycle or donate it to appropriate organisations.
- Our vehicles have satellite navigation systems in order to travel to and from removal jobs as efficiently as possible therefore reducing air/noise pollution, and wherever possible try to backload vehicles on the return journey.
- We ensure all vehicles are designed and regularly maintained to give maximum fuel efficiency and minimum emissions.
- We dispose of unusable waste in a safe manner that minimises any long-term environmental impact.
- In our offices we encourage our customers to use e-communications wherever possible to reduce unnecessary paper use and re-cycle or re-use waste paper and office waste as much as possible.
- We turn off our computers at night and have light on timers to minimise our electricity consumption.
